Why you should not let your marketing company skip over this vital step!
I received some really nice feedback from a new customer the other day and I'd like to flip it onto some honest advice for you.
That is, if you are, or strategy to get an online, mobile or local marketing agency to work with you in the next twelve months. If you are, then consider is question.
If most online, mobile and/or local marketing firms can do everything at scale, then which do you decide to work with?

Not sure? Well, I'll explain.
More and more of the new bread of marketing agencies are extremely good at being able to do everything. Everything is done at scale to supply value.
For example having directory submissions, link building and social media running across all channels 24/7 is totally do-able if you understand how. It's also getting less expensive to do.
And, more and more local and internet based marketing firms can, and do, provide high value added integrated marketing services.
It is a product of living when we do.
And, you understand what, it is exciting!
But , as the all scholars of knowledge and truth understand, strong trees only grow from strong roots.
The same applies for your marketing and promotion across all channels.
Value and scale are desirable and required because they're practicable. But the value of scaled-up online mobile and local marketing is firmly related to the value of the messages, words and concepts you convey.
To produce superb content, understand your business and work effectively for you, your marketing company has to know you as well as possible.
And getting familiar with a customer, their wishes and character, key values and strengths needs time, conversation, intellectual questioning and due process.
The compliment from my customer came after I had spent 4 hours asking questions, listening and taking notes. He said he found the experience both illuminating and reinvigorating.
Now that's done I've a foundation of knowledge about my client.
I'm going to use it to it develop all the messages, social media posts, keyword plan and then deliver value through scaling his marketing and taking it to places it hasn't ever been to before.
