Demographics
The Quinte Region is located in south-central Eastern Ontario, Canada, and embraces the area along the shores of the Bay of Quinte, with access to Lake Ontario. The region has a large rural base with many small communities, including the Municipality of Brighton, and two major urban areas - the cities of Belleville and Quinte West (Trenton), with populations of just over 40,000 each. The regional population within this economic region is over 192,000, with a regional labour force of 93,000.
